Poetic Wind by Hengchong Yu

Description from Hengchong Yu:
The Poetic Wind is a living sunshade deployed outside the window, which was inspired by tree leaves in my “wind collections*”. Users can adjust it to different angles to fit their requirements. The main body of the shade was composed of thousands of hexagons, and every hexagon rotates independently and has two different sides, white and silver. Whenever there is wind blowing, each of the small units will start rotating delicately, and the movements will create a special pattern, which presents the wind to the user naturally. Furthermore, whilst the wind is creating a pattern on the shadowing hexagon surface, outdoor sunlight will also pass through the shade and project it into indoor spaces, to create a changeable and living shadow, mapping out the wonderful natural movements from outside the building.
