Continue reading »]]> NU:S is a project behest by DOUBLE: A young company based in Rome, which is interested in the interplay of diverse contemporary art form. DOUBLE is: Maria Rosaria Melia, Antonella Buono and Benedicta Mariani.

In the evocative setting of the Cloister of Bramante in Rome, an extraordinary and engaging installation – which examines the contamination between Fashion and Parametric Architecture – attempts to break the mold of the Roman art scene taking advantage of the important creative contribution of young and talented members of Made in Italy: the architects Arturo Tedeschi and Maurizio Degni; the fashion designers Flavia Migani, Simone Bruno, Chiara Cola, and Alessio Spinelli. The concept and the creative direction is entrusted to Antonella Buono.

The result is a harmonious work that merges the individual disciplines while respecting their identities creating an innovative expressive manifesto, thanks to the use of advanced digital tools and techniques. The installation consists of four dresses, complete with accessories, which are located within a parametric framework in constant dialogue with the exhibition space, involving the audience in a multidisciplinary learning process. The installation soundtrack was composed by Davide Severi.

The moment we are stagnant staring, as if we are hypnotized thinking about the future or the past, we called “abstract view”.It is from this concept that formed the idea to build a “time machine”. The effect is achieved by an optical illusion which results from the constant superimposition and rotation of monochrome geometric shapes.

Bright and airy, the store confirms the importance of the solutions about materials and colors choosen to return a appropriate mood to the needs of the client: the atmosphere is thin and neutral while the concept adopts a rational design and exhibition in an environment of great uniformity and visual unity, to emphasize the various shades and shapes of the cosmetics.

The store outside is candid, amplified by the reflective surfaces of the furnitures and the iridescent panels on the walls, which echo the vibrancy of the color fading in the neutrality of the variations of white. The interiors refuse any color variations to give space to the bright color of make up, true identity of the brand.

Rigorous and extreme formal clarity, the concept shows the perfect combination of being innovative and up to dateof Deborah. These stores offer the full range of products, inclusive not only of the different collections of make-up but also the body and the men references. Conceived both a place of sale and a reference point where the consumer can find personalized advices, the store is a showcase designed to communicate the company’s vocation for innovation.

The concept of the flagship store emphasizes the aesthetic dimension of the color and the packaging, spreading to most of the space devoted to the products displayed in series arranged in a visual rhythm of pictorial inspiration.

Stands on the walls, in neutral shades on a bright texture, the sign of the brand, which also appears in the outside mirror glass. Reflective material, brushed steel or polished, is also the façade, an explicit call to take care of ourself and to indulge in a full immersion in the Deborah world of beauty.

Created as a stunning celebration of Aston Martin’s century of sports car excellence, CC100, is a concept reflecting the sporting heritage and exceptional design capability woven throughout 100 years of Aston Martin history.

Inspired from the legendary DBR1, CC100 boasts 6.0-liter V12 engine with automated sequential manual gearbox, it reaches 0-100 km/h ( 62mph ) in 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 291 km/h (180 mph).

The interior is crafted from carbon fiber, it utilizes latest generation AM11 naturally aspirated V12 gasoline engine combined with a 6-speed hydraulically automated sequential manual transmission.

Continue reading »]]> Guesthouse designed by Lee in Taiwan, where Its walls are made of a number of interposed and superposed planks of wood to add texture and decoration, with a simplicity and warmth of design that make it feel like home.

Love Our Planet, this is the most important idea what I want to put into this guesthouse,’ Lee said, an interior designer who has made this reclaimed Loft guesthouse in the travel spot Anping, Tainan, Taiwan. This guesthouse is named ‘RE+Wood Guesthouse,’ as the work of artistic and mosaics design that reflects his passion for idea and reuse of recovered wood. All room is flanked by the different type of mosaics wood walls that let in the room so artistic. With a keen interest in the deign of architectural lighting, a study carried out all lights of walls and space, LED track lighting and track to adjust the light of the room, large windows let in natural light so generous. He preserving the industrial character of the walls and also decided the color in the tree natural green. Throughout his travels he combine his passion, hobby, and idea for this loft guesthouse and show them to all the tourism.

At a glance, all the room you can go and see each of the units have it own type of mosaic wood wall. He collected all these recovered woods for over one year time , pieces by pieces ,from different furniture factories. The carpenters, over 20 years of experience, use the natural character of wood and its original shape to mosaic the wall. Based on these, decide the type, arrangement and color in mosaic.

He also collect the old Taiwan’s traditional windows which is disused in the modern building. Put the local culture and memory into the design.

The recovery and conversion of woods giving other use is a passion of Lee. The door of the room that he made with recovered wood to connect the idea of guesthouse. Mosaic waffle surface also functionalize the door in soundproof. The reclaimed table that he made with recovery wood from the rest of mosaic wall and disused table. Thousands of Love-planet details stand out in this unique guesthouse.

The project started last year during my senior term at Art Center College of Design while working on my Apple Car sharing service thesis project. The entire term I had been drawing clean, pure vehicles which was something new for me but one night the itch to design something crazy became too much. So I asked myself, what would an Alienware car look like? Alienware computers are the antithesis to the Apple aesthetic. That night I came up with a general direction and have been tweaking the design ever since as one of my side projects.

In theory this Alienware vehicle would be used for racing in the distant future where vehicles are ‘grown’ rather than built. The driver would sync to the car through his or her suit and the vehicle itself would be one large computer. This is not beyond the scope or reality, engineers at Stanford were recently successful in creating the worlds first biological transistor, thus opening the doors to biological computers. Grown vehicles will definitely be the ‘way of the future’, I just hope we get their sooner rather than later.
